The US equivalent of the Ministry of Defence, except that the US version is marginally more competent, run on unlimited budgets and develops and deploys equipment that usually does that for which it was first designed. They don't wear bowlers or port brollies there because of the clement weather.

However, the disadvantages of military planning within an environment that is unable to distinguish between the two words 'rout' and 'route', to say nothing of their penchant for invading countries - about whom current intelligence cannot render a level even sufficient to pronounce that country's name correctly, let alone plan a coherent successful stratagem - soon become clear.
