Term used to signify a certain lack of motivation and concern for work held by an individual or group in the period of time before a much longed for event.

Its the time before you leave for holiday or The World Cup is about to start and, quite frankly, you can't be arsed with anything between now and the start of the much anticipated event.

Named for the period right before armed forces personnel escape to civvy street.
