Contact

Multi-definition word, that in a military sense is translated as:
- Meeting of two opposing sides in the field of battle. Often involving guns. See also firefight.
- The act of communcation. Example: "I need to contact the wife, I reckon this'll be an all-nighter"
- Step involved in the running of an engine. Most often essential in starting said engine. Example: "This Bedford's fucked, I think there's a loose contact."
- A lens inserted onto the eye to ensure better vision (for those people willing to stick their fingers in their eyes). Example: "Just as I got onto the balcony, I only went and lost a contact ... couldn't see a bloody thing so I just slotted everything that looked like a raghead terrorist. Got a couple of captives though".
