Apparently from the days of Empire, when a daring young toff could stride into the bush with nothing more than a sense of adventure, a loaded Rigby, and the essential baggage train of 40 Hottentots and a couple of elephants to carry the Pimms and the other necessities of civilisation.

But he dreams of life in older times yet – as long ago as 1215. When, apparently, Magna Carta was the last great flourishing of Saxon “Common Law”.

What? Yup, he’s a “freeman on the land”. Which makes him seriously deluded. Even more so when he crops up in Current Affairs and demands that the usual bunch of feral boozed up keyboard hardmen take him seriously. We'll just note that instead of "The question politicians don't want you to ask", the thread might have been better titled "a dozen questions freemen on the land refuse to answer."

Claims that the actual, historical Lt General Carton De Wiart VC & lots of other gongs is his “late father's first cousin's maternal grandfather". Might even be telling the truth. Except that he claims he is also "his distant ancestor". Which would be just a little bit Norfolk.
