Northwest Asian country and former Crown Colony. Originally incorporated in to the British Indian administrative concern, Burma became a separate colony in 1937 before becoming independent in 1948.

Burma saw some of the fiercest fighting of WW2 before Errol Flynn single handedly liberated it along with the US Marine Corps. Good eh?

Now generally regarded to be a totalitarian state run by a bunch of humourless cnuts, Burma has a Human Rights record second only to that of the Nazis and it's unlikely if easyJet will be doing cheap flights to Rangoon in the near future. Shame.
