Bessbrook

Bessbrook Mill was the HQ of British Army presence in South Armagh. In the grounds of the converted Mill is one of Europe's busiest Helipad and a garden of remembrance with memorials to the soldiers that have been killed in South Armagh.

Bessbrook was named by John Pollock, an 18th century linen manufacturer, after his wife Elizabeth or "Bess" and Camlough river or "Brook".
