A Brigade is a Formation based (typically) on 4 Battlegroups with additional Combat Support and Combat Service Support units as part of the grouping.

The exact composition varies between Brigades - an Armoured Brigade (7 Armd Bde and 20 Armd Bde) is known as a 'square' Brigade, as each contains 4 Battlegroups, each of 2 Armoured Squadrons equipped with Challenger 2, and 2 Armoured Infantry Companies equipped with Warrior. A Mechanised Brigade will typically have 2 Mechanised Battlegroups composed of a mixture of Challenger 2, FV432, and so forth, with an additional Armoured Battlegroup completing the line up.
