Essential outdoor wear for the discerning officer and as de rigeur as the obligatory spaniel, the Barbour jacket is also a practical way of cutting a dash in the field. Ideally worn sous para smock (or with a Norgie, Ron Hills and dessies), CS95, Gore-Tex and the more recent PECOC has pretty much rendered any such kit combinations pointless - though there will dobtless be individuals who will continue to flout Dress Regulations and chance their arm with the Badge's wrath in the never ending pursuit of allyness.
