A book by the Spam historian Stephen Ambrose about Easy Company, 506 Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division in WW2.
Made into a 10 part TV miniseries by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks, produced by HBO and launched in 2001.
It has some very good perfomances, even if Damien Lewis is institutionally GWAR, and clips of it are much used in Army Powerpoint presentations.
