A strange abbreviation for the British Military Mission similar to SOXMIS that monitored the Soviet forces in East Germany during the Cold War. It consisted of officers and other ranks from all three services who had undertaken specialist training in order to 'Spy' leagally within some very 'grey' areas.

The exellent book BRIXMIS by Tony Geraghty tells the story of their good times, bad times, exploits and achievments in a very readable style and is well worth a read.
