Possibly the greatest military leader of the Ancient World. Commanded a Macedonian army that first shoed the combined civilized (Greek) world ... then gave a terrible beasting to the Persian empire.
Bit off more than he could chew when his army ran into the Indians equipped with the Mk 1 Elephant and died on the way home either of total liver failure, his doctors or poison.
