335 MEDICAL EVACUATION REGIMENT RAMC(V)
A new asset in the Army Medical Services TA. Formed 01 April 2005.
Function
In-transit care of High and Low Dependency Casualties from Role 2 (Dressing Station) to Role 3 (Field Hospital) and intra-Role 3 using predominantly Battlefield Ambulances (BFA) and Ambulance Coaches, although other means of transport are liable to be used as necessary.
Location & Recruiting
Co-located with HQ 2nd Medical Brigade at Queen Elizabeth Barracks, Strensall, York. Recruited nationally throughout the UK. Formerly known as Ambulance Train Group. Predominantly staffed by health care professionals - many with operational experience. A significant element also of non-health care professionals (e.g. CMTs, Drivers, Clerks, etc.).
