Based on Whiteladies Road in Bristol, the GVA were the third most hetero of the old TA OP Btys, behind 269 (West Riding) Battery and 289 Bty. Formerly 4th battery in 7RHA, now part of 100 Regt RA(V). Affiliated to 29 Commando. Equipped with Light Gun.

The battery has recently re-roled as a commando artillery battery in support of 29 commando regiment. It will remain as part of 100 regiment RA, but will be paired off with 29 Commando for training purposes.
