263 Transport Squadron is a DROPS Squadron. Amongst 160 Tpt Regt RLC(V) it is known as Surf Squadron due the Squadron's chilled out Officers and SNCOs. The Squadron absorbed the bulk of 262 Fuel Sqn when it was disbanded in 1999 under SDR as a result most of its drivers are TTF and UBRE qualified.
