Son of the 18 Pounder, father of the Light Gun.
Famed though countless gate guardians, saluting pieces and the Dinky toy, as well as an impressive record in WW2 and afterwards, the 25 pdr was a cracking gun for it's time.
Phased out of service for field firing as late as 1992 when it was still being used to train OPs, remember it started life before WW2.
