1st The Queen's Dragoon Guards
History
The 1st The Queen's Dragoon Guards were formed in 1959 by amalgamation of 1st King’s Dragoon Guards and the Queen’s Bays (2nd Dragoon Guards). The regiment are known as 'The Welsh Calvary' though the regiment also recruits from Herefordshire and Shropshire.
