16 Survey Support Squadron RE

The role of 16 Geo Support Squadron RE is to support the 2 Geo Squadrons of 42 Engineer Regiment. In actual fact, what they seem to do very little of, is provide support to the 2 Geo Squadrons of 42 Engineer Regiment. Mostly home to the lucky few Geo geeks who have snecked, blagged or shagged their way into a posting outside of 13 or 14 Squadron, along with the unluckiest men from REME ("am I really going to be here for 3 years?") and a selection of mongaloid MT drivers, 60% of whom have had their driving licenses revoked. Often home to a plethora of fresh faced "Pot Geos", having passed the Geo version of selection which entails drawing a picture with crayons and tracing paper, Pot Geos arrive straight from their B3 Combat Engineer course, attended by Geo soldiers simply as a rather expensive joke.
16 Squadron is lorded over by the elite men of SST, whose role it is to gob off on PT and shag eachother's wives. In addition the sole criteria for Squadron Sergeant Major seems to be membership of the fluffy bunny club, whereas recent OCs have been either mad, beyond giving a bollocks or of the split-arse variety.
