    Boots help please

I will be doing a trek up Mount Fuji in a few weeks time and need a decent pair of boots to go in. Ideally I would like to get a pair that I can also wear (and look good) for day to day use, so not necessarily full on trekking boots, but enough that I will have proper ankle support etc.
I quite like the look of the Lowa Desert Elites which would seem to fulfill both purposes but I would very much appreciate any ideas on what else (or instead of if that seems like a bad choice) would be suitable.
Whatever I buy will have to be mail order from the UK or US which I know isn't ideal when buying boots but Japanese stores only stock small sizes in any footwear.
    Thank you in advance.

Look at the boots thread in the stickies.
"..there has seldom if ever been a shortage of eager young males prepared to kill and die to preserve the security, comfort and prejudices of their elders, and what you call heroism is just an expression of this simple fact; there is never a scarcity of idiots."
