Take your pick. Its a Petzl tactikka see here.

It has 3 LED brightnesses that it cycles through though. Pretty sure after a short period it will turn straight off though rather than cycling but you may want to check before purchasing.

Try a Gelert Solo tent - 23 quid. nice, warm and private so you can have a wank in peace. Plus it weighs nexr to noting and fits in your side pouch with room to spare,
Play Torn - the online RPG many other ARRSErs are playing. Sign up using my link (below) and you will be well looked after.

Just been on exercise and a lot of the guys we were working with had Garmin wrist GPSs. I know these are issued on Ops and trg for Ops but are they now being issued more widely? What are the thoughts on them? I am off to Kenya for Ex AT and currently have a Garmin 12 which is like a brick!

Not sure if this has been picked up elsewhere, but certain insurers are not paying up if you are not wearing issue kit - might be worth a thought if you are considering non-issue kit (gloves, boots etc).
Not saying isue kit is better, but just worth a thought.....

Also, I've just bought a Disgo netbook - it's A5 sized and only cost £89.99 from Currys. Low spec, but it's got WiFi so depending on your location it gets you web and email, so it may be worth slipping in your map pocket.
    See you in hell Johnny!

Which ones are those then? If you point them out I will have a check through their wordings to see where the exclusion is so everyone can be made aware of which policies they may wish to avoid.
