    Dingy transport

This is slightly off base, but I'm guessing that someone in here might know the answer.

What would be the most cost effective way of getting a 10 foot long dingy (Laser Pico) from Ross on Wye to Glasgow? Dimensions are approx 10'x4'x2' and weight 60Kg.

Normally it would travel on a rood rack, it's a bit light for a trailer.

I always thought these small craft were open decked so couldn't really get very dingy.

Just how dingy is this dinghy? ;)

persude a rich friend to take it for you, failing that take it yourself, I suspect ant carrie is going to charge an arm and leg for it and it may get damaged.

Mail it to yourself but put the address you want it to go to as the return address and don't put any postage on it. Within three months..... to a year..... it will arrive marked "undeliverable - insufficient postage". Sorted,

Chop it in to bits, and mail the pieces in small handy sized parcels. Glue it back together at the other side.
