    Hic!
But seriously. Softie kit is fine for the sort of conditions most people are likely to encounter, but Nanock make proper professional arctic kit. If you're going to spend a lot of time above the treeline, go Nanock.
Na Got Nanock Issued and it is a bit over hyped, Varm yes but a Wool sweater and a Gore-tex over that does the job at a lower price and weight.
And if you are drunk and fall inn a stream the wool sweater is still warm unlike the BFO Softie.

And Nanock sleeping bags, give me a break! its shite.

J_D, fcuking port, tarts drink. What's this bollox, get some Newcastle Brown Ale down you man. If not Newcy Brown then a few hours with Stella will suffice.
Port at the end of a night on Stella. It's the way forward you know!!

Getting pissed and falling in streams? Best you stay on the (sunshine) bus mate.
Timing is everything. If you're early you're on time, if you're on time you're late and if you're late you're fuc*ed.

Do you know, I can't move for the amount of streams I have to avoid coming home from the pub!

Then you will know that all you need is an issue Gloverall dufflecoat
even works for the SBS as well

Billy-three-iPods swears by his 1982-vintage Goretex Igloo jacket, Surrealist Al always goes for his black M+S Cashmere pullover whenever it turns chilly at night. ( although I sometimes catch a glimpse of pearls tound his neck, when his shemagh slips )

Myself, my £20 Campri Down Jacket is still going.

Why would you possibly want to look like SF??

Drinks tastes just as good in the wilderness as home, beating the wife and abusing the kids.
