Roll pin belt
Got myself a rool pin belt, and discovered that there is no way that i can directly attach my pouches to it.
Am I right in thinking that I just thread it around the exsisting belt?
And to save making another post, anybody know where i can get a larger hippo pad, as in one that covers the whole of the pouches on the inside, rather than just the belt and ammo pouches as i have now
Cheers

Re: Roll pin belt
I got the tailor to stitch the roll-pin ends to my existing belt (less buckles). Works for me.
The only problem with threading it around your existing belt is that it may slide - but electricians tape could help.

Re: Roll pin belt
I had my pouches all tight up towards the buckle and used two of these,,

To attach the yoke at the rear of the belt.
Utility strap to hold pouches together and issue hip pad for comfort!I'm a sheepshagger from Aberdeen and causing pain is my game!

Re: Roll pin belt
The belt should have the loops for slipping the plastic tongues into. (Well at least mine did).
To attach the yoke to the belt i liberated a couple of parts from an old '58 Patt set of webbing but some others have posted links for the modern equivalent of what i used.
I am using SASS's hip pad (SASS Aussie Belt Support). A tad expensive but it covers all of the pouches and is of a decent thickness. Find it at www.sasskit.co.uk.

StiltsAll ways look on the bright side of life!!!
The English are feeling the pinch in relation to recent terrorist threats and have raised their security level from "Miffed" to "Peeved." Soon, though, security levels may be raised yet again to "Irritated" or even "A Bit Cross." The English have not been "A Bit Cros...s" since the blitz in 1940
