Right - sorted. Firstly, that bloke with a pick helve is not "ally"; he is just dressed. His smock appears to be ironed, for the love of god.

Those boys on the tank - they were timelessly ally.

Ally means not trying too hard. That SEALs bloke has just seen too many films. His look says" I' so want to look good"; ally should say "I am squared away - I am excellent and I look effortlessly good". Too much odd kit bursts the bubble. Issue kit worn well can look ally. See attached:
