Just noticed as well, the bloke with the GPMG has it in his left shoulder and is looking through the sights with his left eye, first time ive seen that!

Hmmm, just noticed that aswell. afaik lefties are supposed to learn to shoot right handed. But then they don't usually put M203s on the GPMG no2 man's rifle either.
Which was rather the point of posting the slightly over the top shot here.
I suspect a photographer shouting "That's it dahling. Show me angry dahling" was involved.
Edit: either that or the image is reversed.

Nope, if it was reversed the no.2 would be feeding the belt from the other side.

back in the day could shoot slr left haded and the gpmg left handed not a problem
On a Hot morning in cyprus I found the meaning of anger. Fortunataly I was comftably numb.
The RSM and various other NCO's seemed very agitated.
maybe they should look into counselling?

The Royal Marines look to have re-enacted this with thier modern day equivelent. All though they dont seem to have the same style about them as the old school LRDG do.
