    From the top
AAC Beret - Never served in the AAC
Denison Smock issued to airborne forces 1940's - 1980 so shouldn't be wearing it should wear Para smock if qualified
Some sort of non issue scarf / fleece type thing round neck
AAC wings qualified RAF pilot not AAC
    Gene Hunt's driving gloves
It is things like this that are the essence of Ally. Prince chuck cannot pull if off but a think an Inf Tom in Helmand with a unique / un-issued neck jobby could look very Ally. It's all in the details. And like has been said many times before-

"Kit Tart Does Not Equal Ally"

If you have the gear and can't pull it off then you're a walt.

My black and white shemag looks ally when on top cover
Of all the factors which make for success in battle the spirit of the warrior is the most decisive. That spirit will be found in full measure in the men who wear the maroon beret.

That Para lad on the first page of this thread is now called Catherine Jenkins and now has a job as an 'Opera' singer, whatever the fook that is.

Does give a fukc public order ally

We should remember the tremendous contribution of the Queen Mother to the war effort:
As the BBC pointed out, she 'bravely remained in London beside her husband' during the war.
This contrasts sharply with the actions of my grandfather who, on the declaration of war immediately left his wife and children and pissed off, first to France, then North Africa, Italy, France (again) and finally Germany.
The shame will always be with us.

Prince Charles would have to try really hard to be a Walt. He can wear Just about any British uniform legitimately and has more real decorations than any walt could desire.

When ones Mum owns the British Armed Forces and gives out the knighthoods, one does not expect to be accused of walting.

I've seen him in a maroon beret long before P-Coy stopped being mandatory. Like the medals, wearing without earning is the essence of walting.

Would a real soldier choose Camilla instead of Di? I think not.
