Victim initiated machine guns??
I'm sure that others can find a few things to worry about these devices, but you have to wonder how long before someone suggests sticking them along the IRAN/IRAQ border.

SEOUL -- South Korea Thursday unveiled a high-tech, machine gun-toting sentry robot that could support its troops in detecting and killing intruders along the heavily fortified border with North Korea.
The weapons-grade robot can detect, raise the alarm, and provide suppressive fire, said Lee Jae-Hoon, deputy minister of commerce, industry, and energy. "The Intelligent Surveillance and Guard Robot has surveillance, tracking, firing, and voice recognition systems built into a single unit," he added.
Lee said that hundreds of the robots could be deployed along the 155-mile-long (248 kilometer) demilitarized zone bisecting the two Koreas as well as along the country's coastline and at military airfields.Current firearms legislation is preventing a great many guilty parties from retiring to their study and doing the decent thing.

I'm sure that you could fit a pie machine to one of those. Or a fag machine, coffee machine...........the possibilities are endless.

Re: Victim initiated machine guns??
Have they got one which opens gates and checks ID cards? They could get shot of the RAF Police and the MPGS in one swoop if they did.

Re: Victim initiated machine guns??
If this is real then:
1. I prefered Jonny 5, maybe they should stick tracks on it, and give it shutters for eyelids.
2. I hope it doesn't mess up, otherwise the peninsula may well go nuclear!

Re: Victim initiated machine guns??
Would that be classed as a 'legal' weapons system? Or does it contravene the convention that deals with such things?

Re: Victim initiated machine guns??
There is a development like this for GPMG. Basically it has sound detectors that locate snipers and puts down a few rounds in the general area to deal with them. Ideal for sangars I reckon, until they break of course - could be messy...
I fix broke stuff - in 'Stralia
