There is a very onside AQMS who works there and runs regular ranges (we had an afternoon on the Barrett '50!). Assuming you're serving Army, you might be able to bluff a visit. Never hurts to ask.

Well, there's ones with wooden stock, drum mags, minimal furniture. All sorts really. Fairly interesting (if you like that sort of thing).

US electoral democracy is just a structured system of legalised bribery.
a senior Chinese officer has said, “all the great nations in the world own aircraft carriers – they are symbols of a great nation”. That’s why China has just commissioned its first. By the same token, to opt for a “carrier gap” of some years is to abandon your responsibilities.

There is no question so obviously stupid that it prevents one supposedly intelligent human from asking it of another.
Likewise, there is no human problem that cannot be solved by the correct application of the appropriate quantity of high explosive, the suitable quantity being derived by the Formula P, where P = "plenty"
Nobody ever imagined a bunch of Orcs would steal a database table...

I agree... Let's face it, the vast bulk of the modern infantry have been involved in proper fighting for almost a decade now and even combat support services have been at the sharp end regularly. The most fighting the British Army saw in the 70's and 80's (with the notable exception of OP Corporate ) was outside the beer bar. Today's troops are arguably more professional and have the authentic war stories to go with it. You could say we started getting busy in '95 with FRY etc.If at first you don't succeed, hide all evidence you tried.
