TAWATEC E.O.Diver Green - TAWATEC Shop
Ask for a discount and supply your service number/certificate and Bernd Ewerlin, the guy who runs it, will knock 20% off. It's a touch over £100 still though, but it's a great watch.

Get one of these, and have enough cash left over for a few nights out. If it breaks get another. Some people just need a sympathetic pat

Until I could afford a quality watch, I always used Casios. Reliable, waterproof, virtually unbreakable and cheap to replace if you manage it.

Just read the link to Casio and the guantanamo suspects. Thats pretty slim evidence to accuse someone of terrorism, the fact they wear one of the most common watches on the planet!

Even so, try having dark skin, a beard and entering the US and see the 'special interest' immigration take in you. If you google Casio watch and terrorist you'll see it's well documented. Typical septic overreaction.
BTW I have neither dark skin or a beard but do own one of the casios, damn fine watch indeed-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Another vote for G-Shock, bought mine in 1988 and it's still good. A tiny bit like granny's axe inasmuch as it's had about five new straps and a couple of new bezels but it's solid.

Another vote for Traser. Have had mine about 12 years. Have had the battery replaced twice at a cost of £30 each time including waterproofing, and it goes on every exercise and operation.
However I also have a Casio £8 jobby for battle pt and shit like that.
And I tan well too... wait... does that mean... shit, I'm Taliban!
