Soldier Mag did an article I recal on the Gold and Silver Plated SMGs for the Omani Palace guards.
Gold for the Sultans own and silver for the others.
Nice and blingy , wonder if the rounds were as well?
Too large to add as a piccy.

I disagree your excellency.
I also quite liked the small metal gun....but then my experience of it was limited to range days rather than trying to cope with it whilst jumping in and out of vehicles or indeed using it to do what it was made for - that is, kill people.
I somehow managed to shoot a Marksman's score with it ( but never put the tape up as the pamphlet clearly stated' practice to count' could only be shot with the Service rifle.
I have heard all about people shooting at a wet blanket/Service greatcoat with it and the round failing to penetrate....never met anyone who had actually stood down range of someone with an smg and proven the issue though.
It was robust, simple and balanced well....you'd have to ask a veteran of Malaya or Aden whether it was any use." Without sound Defence, you don't have Schools, hospitals or roads...what you have is a pile of ash...."

No frontsight...
Sniff gently 3 or 4 times for suspicious odours with your back to the wind.
