Unless you have the physique of the incredible hulk, that means you can wind up under-dressed quite early in the fight.
    Logistically a poor choice.

    H83 of 7.62 - 400
    H83 of 5.56 - 900

Besides its been shown 6.5mm is a better calibre than both 5.56mm and 7.62mm.

Unfortunately, a box of .260 Rem would have the same capacity as a box of 7.62, but it would weigh less. It's the only 6.5mm that's plausible as a "drop-in" for existing systems, albeit 7.62mm systems.

Don't know much about the 5.56-based 6.5's that would drop in to 5.56mm wpn systems (wildcats 6.5/223 [6.5x45], 6.5/222, there's probably others). Would the increase in performance, if any, be worth it?

The grendel is an improvement and based on the 762 x39 case, it also fiits in the stanag rifle mag! The problem is its still not at its full potential and can't in the M4 package! With very little work it would be a fine lmg round too! As it stands it is a capable rifle round!

Ugs, IIRC Grendel doesn't quite work properly in the STANAG mags, hence different ones for grendel.

At least the neck-ups will run STANAG mags to capacity & with full reliability

EDIT: it's the mag issue for which I didn't list Grendel before

They work in the good mags but not the RG ones, we have tried it but it takes up a little more space!

Sounds marginal then, hence the sale of Grendel mags. BTW, could never get more than 5 or 6 rounds of 7.62x39 to feed in a 20 or 30 rd AR magazine.

That's all he wants it for.

I suppose young boys fantasise whilst real men work.
