the new Goretex sock is more sock like and useful
The NEW new Goretex sock (even newer than the one B-H mentions) is even more sock-like, and lined with Marino wool. In fact, its so sock-like it's almost like a sock! And possibly quite useful. Coming soon to a Black Bag near you.

Yes, we were very, very bored. It was not a first to the FEBA sort of exercise...

Has anyone ever used the canvas bucket from an AFV for anything other than keeping padlocks in on a CES check?

The pressure cooker in my pulk in Norway.

Very valuable if you are climbing up very, very high mountains, where low pressure reduces the boiling point of water to the point where you can no longer brew tea.

That wasn't us. So it was just a piece of scrap metal dragged pointlessly behind you, in a pulk that nobody ever really mastered pulling. What a waste of sodding effort,

That item was placed in the hands of the sky-diving members of the military fraternity. It took a few of these items to arrive in the snow at a very high rate of knots ( to the QM's delight) before one clever type decided to wrap the pulk contents in a canvas body bag, thus preventing the stabilising drogue parachute on a 15' line from wrapping around the protruding ski tips.
