As an ebay retailer myself, I do use Field Textiles myself and am thus quite familiar with the company, it is outrageous considering the quality of kit getting released which I pick up, I would have liked to have seen it being sold onto perhaps cadet units at a fraction of the price and the return being reinvested through the system.
For all those who don't know, Field Textiles is the UK's only authorized disposals contractor for the MOD, this is where all your issued kit goes at the end of use to be disposed of, it's graded, if unfit for general resale it gets recycled (so they say), and whatever isn't is resold to UK retailers and punty ebayer sprogs like myself, being TA myself I grabbed some good kit myself
Am familiar with contactleft.co.uk and it does have a solid reputation but even I'm skeptical about [B]any[B] form of MPT kit being on the commercial market and I would assume like everyone else it's illegal to use MTP patterned cam on any form of reproduced commercial garment i.e Webtex, so yes contact, I do think it's a load of bollox about the official MTP patterned clothing and equipment.

....Unless of course the MOD has started to issue the license to produce MTP kit to 'approved' contractors?

Which does happen, hence you see officially issued kit from manufacturers like CQC

Now, I saw some unissued MTP kit (helmet covers, Bergan covers) on fleabay last week and that must be knock off as it was still in the issue poly bags with NSN stickers. Tut tut.
However, if retailers have officially bought the MTP material then why would there a problem making things to sell out of it. The MoD buying the property rights was surely to stop other countries copying the pattern as was the case with DPM.
No MTP webbing on issue yet (as far as I have seen) and MTP clothing is only on an "as required issue" at present with Des DPM still being in fashion sandy side.'If nothing else works, a total pig-headed unwillingness to look facts in the face will see us through'

Thanks CL, will put some folding into next H4H tin on arrival.
BBBravo Bravo sets himself a depressingly low standard which he consistently fails to achieve.

Thanks CL, I got my notebook cover in the post this morning and very spiffy it is too. I compared it to my newly issued MTP 'man bag' and i'll be flipped if I can tell the difference. I'll stick a few quid towards H4H for your troubles.
I think the outrage bus about this should be swapped for a unicycle.

No commercial licenses have been authorised for the manufacture or sale of MTP products. The only authorised manufacture is for MOD contracts only.

Right to make this clear anything in MTP is not alowed to be sold to the public.
Is that right or is it not as easy as that?
My local surpuls store says he has a camelpack in MTP but it was not so it is multicam, so why do surpuls store's think they can get gear like rucksacks in MTP and not trousers or shirt's?
