Re: Hammock
Nope, never heard of it until now. I hadn't really bothered with hammocks until I was given a hennessy as a present...I do like the look of the zips and double-layered fabric for a sleeping mat.

Between pallets usually works for me, or just use a therm-a-rest.

Re: Hammock
i used the pussers one with carrying handles loop to make a stretcher etc in Belize. I thought it was pretty good myself both in the bush and on the cayes. Didnt have fancy covers or mossie net just a poncho and mossie spray - worked for me

Re: Hammock
Snip the jingly-jangly zip-pulls off and replace them with knotted paracord (light coloured so they stand out better at night) and add two climbing krabs to the webbing (as in the youtube demo) and Bob's your uncle.

Re: Hammock
Just to clarify, I'm intending to use the hammock on tour, so hot and sandy, and potentially the flight out there (depending on the loadies).

Re: Hammock
The DD looks outstanding. I had loads of trouble with mossies on my last tour using the issued 'dome' tent so I might get one of these to keep the feckers out.
