Best British Equipment?

There seems to be a lot of moaning of how gash UK Equipment is, however why dont we celebrate the good stuff we got, I mean Best in the World.
I used to know a chap who R&D'd NBC gear and was adamant it was THE best in the world. the Americans came a close(ish) second. I await your laughter/suggestions chaps & chapesses.

plce was the nuts when it first came out. issue Softie's and norge's. there's loads of good issue stuff.

The mk 1 British soldier; Underpaid, underequiped, undertrained and often under-the-influence! Still gets the job done; will aquire the necessary to do the job, pick things up as he goes and sober up along the way. (Then spend what money he has left on cheap booze and cheaper women.)

British kit, do we have any that is truly 'British' anymore? 51mm Mortar wash/is hoofing, not many problems with that.
