Re: Best British Equiptment?
Leander Class Frigate.
It had its faults (somewhat cramped) but it was a great seakeaper (it's hull form was used as basis for at least 2 subsequent classes), was able to take substantial modification and modernisation later in life, and was widely used in foreign Navies, both as new build and post RN service.
Sea Skua (heck, the Germans bought it so it must be OK!). Responsible for sinking the majority of the Iraqi Navy during Granby.
Lynx - widely used around the world, especially in the maritime environment.
BAe Hawk (the US have bought this too, albight heavily modified for carrier use).To disagree with three-fourths of the British public is one of the first requisites of sanity. Oscar Wilde

The TWIG buckle.
'If nothing else works, a total pig-headed unwillingness to look facts in the face will see us through'
'In my life so far I have discovered that there are only two kinds of people: those who are for you and those who are against you. Learn to recognize them, as they are easily mistaken for each other'

Issue sleeping bag & bivvie.
Bravo Bravo sets himself a depressingly low standard which he consistently fails to achieve.

Always been very happy with our socks and our head gear. And windproof smocks. And probably our COP vests dependent on task.

Define socks, do you mean the excellant winter ones, or the warm weather ones that resemble Bridgdales

I don't believe in surrenders. Nope, I've still got my saber, Reverend. Didn't beat it into no plowshare, neither
