Er, bodies are coming through the system plentiful and shiny new as are barrels. Lots and lots to be fitted here soon as the F/Es get ripped off and the old ones get put back on

The barrels for the L85 are different to the L98 (Cadet) jobbies so I can't see what's going on there. It will be quite simples to bang a Picatinny rail instead of a STANNAG during production but we'll wait and see what the grown ups decide to do.CC_TA

Why then last month after speaking to 2 egg heads from the MOD who feal to procurement on a post tour debrief was i told that?Iwas asking when were getting a new rifle the date was meant to be 2020 but will be 2018 because of the reason above.
the barrell of the rifles is the same its the flash eliminator or lack of thats different.

Different part number; 966 9787 - L85, 967 4829 - L98. However that could be the A1 barrel - I take it the L98A2 came about with feckin orf of the cockknocking handle extention and the addition of gas
Fuck it I'll have a look in the morning.
I could be wrong - I normally be, apologies if I are!

I think the rifling is different on the cadet version, but thats trying to remember back 20 odd years ago to the ..................ATC
