We recently had all our HERRICK kit issue and i have more fecking t-shirts, socks, sleeping bags, Meindls and Lowas to shake a stick at. In fact its so much kit, its stored outside my room in the Mess. Soldiers Mum, get a grip and donate the money spent to Help For Heroes. You never know, your son may need it. Mums little Soldier, get a grip and see if you can find room in your Scimitar(?) for that massive Sleeping Bag your mum bought!

A couple of extra bits and bobs by all means. But they don't replace their entire G10. It may be because they understand that said kit is likely to get broken, lost, knackered, nicked, or give up due to sand or moisture. Soldiers have enough to worry about without stressing that they have misplaced their Surefire torch at the O Group.
If BAe got the contract then we'd order a couple of Leopard Seals to deal with the penguins but we'd end up with a couple of Salmon 'fitted for but not with' teeth by 2038 at only £24bn.
