Connection is probably required to down load maps, on the fly, so to speak.

I have a Blackberry Storm and the Blackberry maps application sux. I use Google Maps. Have a try with that, they are free.

I've been buggering about for ages trying to get a GPS/navigation system as good as the one on Mrs Bigeye's iPhone. I'm after a google maps/earth hybrid type thing for my notebook mini lap top. I've even got a 'special holder' rigged in my defender which won't go on the fritz as soon as I hit a pot hole.

phone was bought as a company purchase at around 250 notes.

You save nearly Â£100 by not having the Land Rover branding which to me is a bonus!

BIPOLAR77 I've been told that the Land Rover one (Sonim XP3) is higher spec than the JCB branded one (Sonim XP1) but I haven't bothered to look myself. Why don't you go to the Sonim website and see.

I bought a little flexi-microchip from a shop in Newtownards for Â£10 & bunged it in my BT Mobile Nokia which is,at this point in time,unlockable, & it's now unlocked & working on O2! (you shorten the SIM card & the chip fits between the SIM & the SIM reader)
Bargain!

Well the bird who I spoke to checked the website while I was on the phone ,I to have looked on their website and found no record of it !

so somthing isnt right ?

the one without the LR branding isnt the same, its a lesser spec than the LR S1

Are you sure the company you spoke to on the phone and the website you used are one and the same? (/No WAH)
