Does anybody know of any shops in the SE which sell a good range of holsters? I need a concealed leather paddle holster but want to get hands on before parting with my cash.

I think you are about 13 years too late...... the market has rather diminished for pistol accessories.....

There are obviously still mail-order companies doing security items, but I can't think offhand of a shop which still carries anything as niche as moulded paddle holsters. What gun? I'll ask around my Section 5 colleagues.

I used an "uncle Mikes" Holster last year that I got off e-bay for 99p! It was bloody brilliant, not leather though but a very usable alternative and easily concealed. I sold it to one of the lads replacing me for 20 dollars, it was that good!

The uncle mikes range is certainly worth a look and e-bay does throw up some bargains so you wont feel too bad if you dont get hands on the kit and it turns out to be crap.

South East England? You want Escort Gunleather in Benfleet near Southend. Between them and Price Western Leather in Minehead, they probably have most of the UK police market for leather holsters.

Of course if you want somehing really special, get a custom made holster from Andy Arratoonian at Horseshoe Leather in Yorkshire. These are absolutely superb.

I've managed to answer my own question. I've found a mail order company in Crawley who have a trade counter and I will be paying them a visit shortly.

Ive ordered stuff from them, its good quality and their service is pretty good too
