Not sure if this is a wah or what, but aren't they from different guards regiments, hence different button arrangements?

Granted, I know nothing about this stuff. However I do have a copy of "TAQ" which on the front has HM The Queen presenting medals to the RMLY..who appear to have 2 yellow stripes on the trousers as opposed to one in the picture? It might be a different form of dress = different stripes? But that seems a tad silly to me..
