The sword's a 1908 Pattern too, not the H Cav sword. No 'flask cord" on the pouch belt. So many things wrong with that rig.
And that's deffo not a "bird"...

Could it be some sort of fancy dress event?

The Royal crest on the belt is on a tilt too and the jacket hasn't been tailored... so it must be line or Yeoman Cavalry!

Shrimp is the fruit of the sea. You can barbecue it, boil it, broil it, bake it, sautee it. There's, um, shrimp kebabs, shrimp creole, shrimp gumbo, pan fried, deep fried, stir fried. There's pineapple shrimp and lemon shrimp, coconut shrimp, pepper shrimp, shrimp soup, shrimp stew, shrimp salad, shrimp and potatoes, shrimp burger, shrimp sandwich... That's, that's about it............

My guess (and it is only that) is Yeoman Cav. No self respecting regular would look that shit. I am ruling out fancy dress beacuse the medals look genuine and I just dont want to believe anyone would put their real medals on a fake uniform. I belive the bird to be real only because it is serious commitment to fancy dress for a bloke to have a "ladylike" tattoo done on his thigh!

Royal Mercian and Lancastrian Yeomanry?
(Being as it's a picture from Aintree 'Ladies Day' and they're the closest TA cavalry unit to Liverpool).

I wouldn't even say the helmet is HCav. Only the gauntlets and the possibly the buff belt.
This does seem a very similar outfit to what Baron Von Castleshort was wearing in one of his photos - but I can't find that one.A fart is nothing more than an imprisoned turd, crying for help.

Also just noticed it is a Kings crown not a Queens crown on his helmet?
(although I am not sure we would all appreciate a queens crown on our er... "helmet" if you know what i mean)
