About LinkBacks- 09-08-2012, 06:09 #61About 20 years ago when I lived in London I was researching our family tree and used to go to the Mormon Family History Centre in Balham. THe first time I went I was somewhat filled with trepidation, but I found them very helpful with no proselytizing.

Actually there are others who benefit from research. Years ago when I was in law school I worked summers in the office of the Clerk of the Courts for my county. At that time there were desks set up for a couple of Mormons to work there. They had asked permission to microfilm all of the records of the county. Lots of records. The county was founded as one of the 4 shires of Massachusetts in 1643 but the records only go back to 1649. Originally Posted by JoeCivvie
