Ah the US OODA loop in full effect...observe, overreact, destroy and apologise!

    Daddy-pig says "Snoort!"

They used to say if an infinite number of chimps typed we would get the works of Shakespeare, the internet has proved this is NOT the case...

We have some pretty good micro-breweries and independent brewers in the USA. Fewer and fewer in the UK each time I return. I guess denigrating US beer is fair game for folks who've never visited the Land of the Free
just as dissing English food is to those who haven't visited the Sceptered Isle.

Not so, mate. I've lived in US on and off for years - and the beer is shite. For example, a mate of mine was served a micro-brewed beer at Harvard Brew House which had a chocolate taste - how shite is that, literally?

Not my idea to go there, I prefer neighbourhood pubs in Quincy! He did not order chocolate beer, as he is no metrosexual, but was told it was closest they had to Guinness! Should have seen his face when he tried it!

Boston is a great area for pubs - reminds me a little of Dublin and Edinburgh. Not a micro brew though Sam Adams Summer Ale is a pleasant pint this time of year, Sam also offers a Stout which is a reasonable substitute for Guinness. Sadly people rave over their 'Chocolate Bock' which costs anything between $12 and $16. per bottle!
