They are fine, but a good idea is to sign up for Travelzoo, Travel Deals | Holidays, Flights, Hotels, Cruises & Local Deals | Travelzoo UK , they have weekly offers on good hotels in areas you would probably be travelling around if you're sight- seeing, you could get some upmarket offers, inc dinner etc.

I'll throw my experience in. Like all chains there can be the ocassional issue but, as a rule they are basic, clean, comfortable, reasonably modern and conveniently located for travelling. Moderately priced. They are not "holiday" hotels, and are not ideal for staying more than one night (very limited facilities) but excellent for somewhere to stay overnight. The option to include breakfast (served in the attached pub/restaurant) is convenient and good value but, as others have said, might get a bit boring (but then again it is breakfast, how exciting do you need it to be?).

Seems they are doing a deal at the moment - buy three nights, get one free!
    Great Night Giveaway

And remember their guarantee - if you don't have a good nights sleep you don't pay for the room.
Not that anyone would abuse that very generous offer.

OK, my query, Premier Inns in UK seem to have some reasonable deals and reviews on Tripadvisor, any of you blokes stayed in them, are they OK? I mean are they OK for the handbrake and I, we are not snobs, just a clean, comfy bed, hot shower, a good feed are fine.

On our 3 weeks in UK post cruise intend to stay in inns, pubs, relatives, etc.

    Cheers.
My best advice is that they can be reasonable - some with free breakfasts etc - but whatever you do, choose one that's not right next to the motorway. If you do, It'll either be too hot with the window closed, or to cool off the you open the window and listen to the joys of the M6 for the night.

    G'day mait.

I've stayed at Premier Inn, South Wimbledon quite a few times. In-house restaurant is reasonable. Was woken at 05:00ish by milk deliveries and when I mentioned to reception was immediately fully refunded without asking. I'd certainly recommend it for your requirements.

Our Company has an Account with them and I've used them all over the UK but never
more than two nights, I have no complaints with them at all, basic, clean and you know
if you've been in one, what all the rest are like....convenience is the major plus.

Cheap, cheerful and if you can book months in advance you can get some very good deals but lose the money if you don't go. Most the pubs that are next door open up early to do breakfast but what ever you do dont buy the crappy dried breakfast they serve behind the counter. Also ensure you don't go to the one that Lenny Henry is stopping at or you wont get any peace. What ever you do dont tip....its not needed over here but if you would like to make a donation to ARRSE thats fine.

I use them quite a bit whilst travelling (because I'm a tight jock cunt, before the IRON mentions it ).

As has been said, reasonable, clean and usually decently located.

Stay away from Travelogde's though - shite.

You can cancel up to 13:00 on the day of check-in with no penalty in my experience.
Don't want to state the bleedin' obvious but have you checked out the "Late Rooms" tab top right of this page. Looks handy.

Not in all cases, i have booked 5 months ahead on some of the £11 a room deals in the past with the clause you cannot cancel...there are certain advance deals that dont allow it.
