Can Anybody Recommend an Hotel in London?
I'm looking for a reasonably priced hotel or B&B in London; it has to be suitable for 3 small kids, so no crackwhore fleapits around Kings Cross or the UJ club thank you :D
North of the river is probably best, with access to all the tourist sites, or close to a tube.
If anybody knows a decent place I'd be grateful.

Depending on when you are travelling you could utilise any of the offers currently running in the newspapers.
Failing that try Londontown.com. I,ve always found them OK.The difference between Golf and Government is that in Golf, you can't improve your lie.

The Spousal Unit recently stayed at The Royal Trafalgar in Trafalgar Square. I think they offer ajoining rooms with a linking door for families. Restaurant service was iffy but there are plenty of places to eat in the area.
http://www.laterooms.com is also a good option.I had a black shirt, but I wasn't one.

Try Travelodge, there is a new one recently opened close to Tower Hill tube station. Very close to Tower of London, Tower Bridge and London Dungeon for the kids. Tower Hill is on the circle line so only a few stops round from Kings Cross.

I have also stayed at Novotel in Southwark:

Walked to all attractions We wanted to. Never set foot on a bus or tube. :DI write down everything I want to remember. That way, instead of spending a lot of time trying to remember what it is I wrote down, I spend the time looking for the paper I wrote it down on.

I find Brown's quite good, and family friendly. Claridges is ok, but a bit touristy.

I wouldn't fancy staying at No 10. Can you imagine trying to keep your food down while looking at that gotch eyed mong, and listening to him alternately growl and whinge his way through dinner?

If you're prepared to venture down the District line to Wimbledon - spotlessly clean, big rooms, take families, massive breakfast, cheap.

Try the Victory Services Club. It's an all ranks club with excellent facilities (restaurant, bar, reading room etc). Two minutes walk from Marble Arch and the rooms are around £50 a night. You have to pay £20 a year to join though. http://www.vsc.co.uk/

I'd agree on this. It's not the Ritz but its comfortable, clean and cheap.

Try top secret rooms on laterooms:
http://www.lastminute.com/site/trave...m=adwds&bbkid=[4+star+secret+hotel]&x&gclid=COz4p6LGnZsCFU8TzAodQiNAjg
Basically you chose the area you want, chose how many stars / what facilities you want and they will give you a list of available rooms. You don't actually find out which hotel it is until the last minute, but you get big discounts and it all adds to the fun.One cannot begin to fathom the immensity of the fuck I do not give.

Try the Sunborn Yacht by the Excel Centre. DLR/Tube links into centre, not too expensive, they do good deals, very comfortable and a little bit different.

Re: Can Anybody Recommend an Hotel in London?
try also hotels.com if you fiddle about with the settings you can see a map of the London area with the available hotels for that date listed and also set it to descending/ascending price order so you can see:
hotel location
price
then cross reference with 'trip advisor' (type in name and location) for impartial reviews about the place you are interested by. helps you know you are making a good decision and what you'll get when you get there. (and how to find the damn place sometimes / which local restaurant is best etc - people leave good tips like that.)X Factor Spoof! Safe for work! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8qTYVnrhU_8
