Burial with full military honours?
The funeral of General Pinochet got me thinking about the correct definition of "burial with full military honours".
A "military" funeral might contain some or all of: flag on coffin, bugler sounding last post, mourners in uniform, medals/hat on coffin, uniformed pallbearers, firing party etc etc.
Presumably "full military honours" would include all of the above plus, maybe, a gun carriage for the coffin, boots reversed in stirrups of charger, flags at half mast etc?
Does anyone have the definitive answer?
