It's called TLCM (as I am sure you are aware) and it costs the capability from cradle to grave, therefore the figures appear somewhat skeewed. Just saying like

Well im sure the Foxhounds will get good use around Bastion, because after all they are replacing Bastions finest general duty vehicle!

300 ordered so far, and as for Ricardo laying people off, utter misguidance....nobody laid off and full build team in place with a considerable number already delivered
As for DSG, well that is a different matter

That's the excuse they used last year for cancelling my sons summer work which was to lead to his apprenticeship starting last sept! No firm order signed nor letter of intent from the customer! I can only tell you what the production team manager told my son last june!

Wasn't Snatch only for use in NI prior to Iraq and Af kicking off? So we are buying Foxhound to replace the kit for an Op thats shut down.....or is Paddy in for a rude shock come 2015?

If you like that, you'll love the fact that foxhound comes in at just under £1m per Veh. Having seen both sides of the fence, it's usually MOD (Cap) that are responsible for money fuck ups and the PT for crap kit/ crap support solutions.
Bearing in mind that foxhound was a largely politically driven UOR ( all the press over snatch deaths) and bringing it into core is the same, is 1m value for money for a lightly armoured/armed patrol Veh?With joy in my heart, I headed towards the light at the end of the tunnel.
I was then hit by the oncoming train.
