    First UAV re-supply to USMC

Very interesting, especially for the wealth of opportunities it opens up. Although it'd be interesting as to how cheap these are compared to a traditional helo, and how big they can make them. I'm sure it doesn't look like it can carry as much as a Chinook for example...

Check this, it isn't unmanned and looks suspiciously familiar. Not to say the one in your article isn't a UAS. 2.5 Ton payload not pad!

Same thing, Kaman provided the K-Max, Lockheed did all the funky stuff to turn it into a UAV

All is explained, still retains the option to be manned

    Yeah, Brill.

    What about...

Unmanned, Cheap and far less to go wrong. I believe they are getting more and more accurate too.

Continues to be a huge success, the deployment has been extended to March, possibly even September. Pilots are getting more, and more un-necessary.... ;)

it's an awesome machine, it can carry 6000lb underslung load, not bad for a single engine, merlin has 3 engines and can undersling 10,000lb. I know it's 2 very different aircraft, just highlighted it to show it's a well designed machine, plus it would stop the dilema of taking troop carrying cabs off to do re-supply.
