As a student you also recieve your pay tax free. Unfortunatly you will have to go through recruit training again. Like all units you will get good and bad but there should be a few to pick from. Enjoy

I joined in 98 im 30 in like a month I took early settlement in late 2003 official leave date was 2004, anything else?

Listen mate, the TA is great fun and I personally used it to fund my way through uni (I graduated last summer). It's a great laugh and challenging, there are tours but it is not the same as the regular army. Originally Posted by Paul5698

Snakey makes a valid point - you could use the fun to take time out, and use the cash to sort your fees out. They're quite high now, I gather.

There's commando trained engineers in hull if I recall. Or at least there was.
