Am I too old for the infantry
Hi
i would like to join the TA infantry,
iam fit and 41. i have previous experience with the Signals attended regular for about a year then relocated south. I contacted the local unit, wont be naming them, and he said their unit wont be taking people on over 34 ( unless previous experience ), but the situation is different for different units.
any advise would be welcome
cheers

Try a different unit?
I can see it now, in a decade ARRSE will be full of young thrusters who will be complaining about all the old farts who go on about HERRICK, lurk in the office, "enable" stuff and how it's got fuck all to do with what's going on now.

Well having googled it, it would appear that the limits are 17-43.
Entry Requirements
But then again, a unit may well be over manned (may be...) and using this as a filter. They may also perceive that the return of service from you would not be worth the investment in this time of tight purse strings.
